"Here I Am" by Floyd Alexander. Seven remarkable women from classic Literature and History, on stage together, for an evening of revealing conversation, revelation and confirmation of their contribution to the eras in which they lived. In this compelling one-act play, these women exhibit wisdom, understanding and just plain grit as they dramatically present how they overcame crippling social restraints to achieve their independence. The playwright, Mr. Alexander, has written several plays.
"The Pact" by Livia Krancberg, a Holocaust survivor. A play on love & romance. What's love got to do with it? Arranged marriages in the 21st. century. This play takes place 1960-2009. It also addresses the Jewish tradition of the importance of education through each generation and potently displays the struggle and final achievement of two friends who made a pact to succeed despite all odds against them. This is one of several plays written by Mrs. Krancberg.
